'Retweet With Comment' Twitter's Named its New Feature

The "Retweet with comment" feature lets you showcase the original tweet in a Twitter Card, leaving you with a full 140 characters to respond. As of now, your only options for responding to another tweet are to reply, leaving out any reference to the original tweet, or quote the tweet, which takes up a lot of your 140 characters.
The "Retweet with comment" would probably replace the "Quote the tweet" option, which simply lets you add your two cents to the original tweet.
The idea is that this feature would foster more conversations on Twitter, allowing for context while not detracting from the length allotted for a response, which users currently experience with the "Quote the tweet" option. This way tweeters can have more space to voice their opinion while still linking to the original tweet.
According to TechCrunch, Twitter is currently testing out the "Retweet with comment" feature with just a portion of its user base. Kurt Wagner of Mashable first detected the new feature in a tweet sent by Twitter's head of communications, Carolyn Penner. But it seems like the test goes beyond internal with random users seeing the switch as well.        Read More..

iPhone 6 will be Launching on September 19

Apple will launch 32GB and 64GB capacities of the phone for 5,288 yuan ($846) and 6,288 yuan ($1008), indicating that Apple may launch the iPhone 6 without a 16GB model. Notably, 5,288 yuan is the current price for the 16GB iPhone 5s in China, while the 32GB iPhone 5s is listed at 6,088 yuan.
A September launch would be consistent with the past two iPhone launches, as Apple also typically launches new products on a Friday. A reportBloomberg earlier this week also claimed that Apple may launch the larger 5.5-inch version of the iPhone 6 and the 4.7-inch version simultaneously, with previous reports indicating that issues with battery and display technology would hold up the larger device's launch. In addition to a larger display, the iPhone 6 is expected to feature a thinner design, a faster A8 processor, and Apple will look to launch the 4.7-inch iPhone 6 on Friday, September 19, according to a new reportChinese web portal Tencent (Google Translate, via GforGames) citing inside sources. The news comes after German carrier Deutsche Telekom was reported to be informing customers of a similar release date for the device.                                     Read More..

Amazon is searching for Freelance Developers and Offering up to Rs.9 lakhs.

Amazon is offering $5,000 per app optimized for Fire Phone, paid out in tax-free Amazon Coins, the digital currency that lets you buy stuff in Amazon's Appstore. Each developer account can create up to three qualifying apps for a total potential payday of $15,000.

We first heard about the story on AndroidPolice.

Of course, there are some strict guidelines to follow in order to qualify for the full $5,000 per app.
Basically, Amazon is ensuring that its new 3D "Dynamic Perspective" feature will be used to some extent in the app, which would help the feature from falling into gimmicky obscurity. Dynamic Perspective is a bit similar to the parallax feature on iPhones, but it takes things to another level by using the Fire Phone's extra cameras to add 3D depth to apps and home screens, so that things shift and react to your movements.

Other than that, Amazon is also requiring apps to integrate with its multitasking user interface "Carousel" to keep browsing between different apps cohesive.

Why is Amazon offering developers essentially free money?

It's important to remember that Amazon is entering the smartphone market at a time where fragmentation is at an all time high. This trend can increase the workload for developers seeking to offer their app on as many platforms as possible, an issue Android has run into into in the past, and Apple could face if it continues to expand its iPhone product line.
